Through the Investing in Nature partnership, BGCI aims to award several grants per annum for three years, in support of the best Indian botanic garden plant conservation projects which can contribute to the national programme.

Project proposals will be submitted to the Steering Committee of the project in India, who, together with BGCI, will have final decision on which projects shall be supported. Deadlines for the submission of project proposals will be announced.

The majority of projects supported will receive up to £4000 (Rs. 300,000) although projects costing up to
£8000 (Rs. 600,000) will be considered. Each Indian botanic garden may submit only one project proposal each year during the three years of the programme and they will be eligible to receive only one grant.
