Chitrakoot
is a legendary and sacred place for the pilgrimage of Hindus. It
is situated on the banks of the holy river Mandakini, admist the
green hills of the Vindhyachal range. According to the legends,
Lord Ram along with Sita and Lakshman, spent 11 and half years of
his exile at Kamadgiri in Chitrakoot.
Deendayal
Research Institute (DRI), was setup in 1968. The mission of DRI
is: 1. To make the people of 500 villages (located around 50 km.
radius of Chitrakoot region) self reliant through entrepreneurship,
education, agriculture and health.
