BioNET
INTERNATIONAL is a global network of interlinked sub-regional LOOPs
(Locally Organized & Operated Partnerships) owned and operated
by member countries. These LOOPs are dedicated to enabling developing
countries to become realistically self-reliant in the skills of
identifying, and understanding the relationships of the living organisms,
which collectively constitute biodiversity and the natural environment.
It is a network of people and institutions designed to enable the
pooling and sharing of existing taxonomic resources via South-South
cooperation, and building further taxonomic capacity through institutional
strengthening and human resource development programmes of North-South
partnerships.
A two-day national seminar-cum-meeting on the finalization of India's
strategy for formulation of a South Asian Countries Network (SACNET)
