Thereafter the IIN-India issues were discussed and the following was
recommended:

Considering the
vast amount of biodiversity under forest cover, the participants opined
that the Director General, ICFRE may also be included as one of the members
of the IIN-India Advisory Committee.

CEOs of ICFRE
may kept informed/ involved as far as possible.
- Dr. S. Kumar
demonstrated the IBGN website and suggestions on the same were sought.
The
participants appreciated the efforts of NBRI. However, they recommended a
change in the colour and font of the website to enhance its legibility.
It was
unanimously recommended that the Indian Botanic Gardens Network (IBGN)
website must create a home page of each of its member gardens.

Dr. S.K. Rai,
Additional Director, MOEF suggested that NBRI focal point may ensure that
various developments are informed to National Biodiversity Authority (NBA)
and CBD focal point.

NBRI may consult
BSI to avoid duplication in distribution of grants.
