The membership of the IBGN can include any organisations or groups that have an interest in the development of botanic gardens in India. It will be broadly based to include a wide range of governmental, university, municipal, community/village, NGO, private and other relevant institutions and organizations. Individuals may also become members provided they are linked to or identified with particular botanic gardens or other relevant and appropriate organizations.
